Community
Invested where we build
A construction company takes a lot from a community: road space, quiet mornings, patience. We think it should put more back than it takes. For Sigma that starts with who we hire, who we buy from and how our sites behave, and it extends to the programs we put our name and our money behind.
Our crews are Bahamian. Our engineers, architects and superintendents are Bahamian. When a Sigma project finishes, the skills, the wages and the experience stay on the island.

Training the next generation
Every Sigma site is a working environment where people learn the trade. Entry level roles are a genuine route into the industry, with training provided and a path from trade to supervision for people who want it.
Hiring and buying Bahamian
Bahamian engineers, Bahamian superintendents, Bahamian trades and Bahamian suppliers wherever the specification allows. The value of the work stays in the communities where we build.

Youth Basketball, hosted by Pro-Motion
This summer Sigma sponsored a youth basketball program hosted by Pro-Motion. Supporting young Bahamians in sport sits naturally alongside how we approach our industry: give people structure, give them coaching, and give them a route forward.
Community Event
Mount Thompson Family Fun Day and Give Back
In December 2025 Sigma supported the fourth annual Mount Thompson Family Fun Day and Give Back, held at the Mount Thompson Homecoming Site in Exuma.
Entry was free. The day ran on food, music from Exuma DJs, a bouncing castle, face painting and gifts for the children who came through. Sigma was one of several Bahamian companies backing it.
Exuma is a long way from our yard in Western New Providence. That is rather the point. The islands we work on are not only job sites.
Industry
Sigma on the Green
Sigma on the Green is our team turning out for the Chamber of Commerce golf event, alongside the suppliers, consultants and contractors we work with year round.
Construction in The Bahamas runs on relationships. The people you meet over eighteen holes are the same people you call when a shipment is stuck or a specification changes at short notice.
